Religious Crisis (A forewarn to Nigeria)

An irrelevance borne out of misconception, selfish desire, and unfaithfulness to the Holy word.

One might wonder why there are religious crises particularly between Christians and Muslims. It looks as if it has been turned into cultist affair.

The Holy Bible states Jesus is the son of God – He is the Messiah. There was the Old Testament (Isaiah 53: 1 - 12) that predicted His coming in the New Testament. During that time, the Old Testament, there were messengers of God like Prophet Isaiah, Prophet Elijah that is even mentioned in the Holy Qur’an. So also was Prophet Mohammad, who as an Imam, brought along Word from God to lead the people in the expectation of the Messiah’s coming (An Nisa Qur’an 4: 158 - 159).

One thing is clear – true Christians and Muslims believe there is one God. It is agreed Christians call Him God, and Muslims call Him Allah.

The prophets even though brought the message of truth, there were introduction of doctrines. Today, the Holy Bible has many versions; it is believed the Holy Qur’an has only one. While Pentecostals pray in the name of Jesus, Catholics pray through Holy Mary, but that did not distance the truth from God’s word.

Just as the Holy Bible itself has many chapters that seem to contradict, they do not contradict. The Bible states, above all, get understanding. The Holy Book, either Holy Bible or Holy Q’uran, is not a novel to be read with a mere mind or basic human knowledge, because that is vanity. So people seem to pick up which ever verse or chapter applies to their motive, and use it. I believe that is where religious crisis came from – ulterior motive away from the truth of God’s Holy word; personal desire to cause for action.

God is a God of love, and He is a merciful God. He is a God of fire too. Mighty are His works, wonderful are His deeds. Hallelujah!!
